As a bit of sentient star-stuff, I want to do my best to help the universe know itself. 

I began my STEM journey at Cochise Community College and went on to study Physics, Astronomy, and Mathematics at Northern Arizona University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in physics from the University of Maryland. 

My fascination with physics stems from its mathematical foundation, which allows us to describe and manipulate the natural world using abstract logic.  The challenge of quantum computation is of particular interest because of the richness of the mathematics involved and the potential for physically realizable systems.
